INTRODUCTION

It is unlikely that the original Northern Jalousie Manufacturing Co. could have foreseen the future of its small jalousie manufacturing business as it began production in mid 50's.  Since then, NORTHERN 's steady growth has been based on a well-earned reputation for dependable quality and personalized service, still the primary cornerstones for the Northeast's most versatile window manufacturing company. This continuing progress is the direct result of the Company's sense of responsibility to their customers' needs and to the overall service requirements of the marketplace. NORTHERN is proud of its past and is looking confidently toward the future.

FACILITIES

From its new corporate headquarters in Teterboro, New Jersey, Northern Building Products manufactures and distributes window products and other building materials throughout the eastern seaboard. This facility occupies over 115,000 sq. ft. under one roof. The plant is fully equipped with modern machinery and equipment for manufacturing windows and other fabricated aluminum products. NORTHERN was among the first few in the industry to introduce the computer-aided design and manufacturing CAD/CAM process to insure consistent quality and timely delivery.

BROAD PRODUCT LINE

A complete product line is offered, from economical residential windows to the finest heavy commercial grades and custom architectural specifications. Products range from simple replacement windows to systems designed for Historical Preservation. All windows are designed to offer easy erection and maintenance-free operation. The fabrication department is equipped to offer a broad range of aluminum and stainless steel custom-fabricated ornamental products such as column covers, beam covers, balcony railings, and trim pieces for window dressings.

NORTHERN is actively involved in various trade organizations-to name the few, American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), Insulated Glass Certification Committee (IGCC), and the Aluminum Extruder's Council (AEC).
