Northern Building Products, the New Jersey diversified window and door manufacturer and ALICO (Aluminum & Light Industries) kicked off their global alliance at the NGA Expo in Miami this week.

Both old-line firms have decades of experience and, in combination, will have world-wide sales of well over $100 million and more than 1,600 employees.

NORTHERN is well respected for its extensive work in the mid and high-rise retrofit market.  Recently, NORTHERN was awarded contracts to manufacture windows and doors for two of the largest projects in the United States---Rochdale Village and Co-Op City. Together, these two projects, which are right in NORTHERN's home area, have over 200,000 windows and doors which will be replaced over the next several years.

ALICO is best known for its capability of executing many prestigious and unique curtain wall projects throughout Britain and the Middle and Far East. These projects have included both unitized and stick curtain wall systems, space frame systems, two-sided structural glazing, and one of the world's largest cruciform-type barrel vault skylites.
