Project Summary
Architectural Testing Inc. (ATI)
was contracted by Repco to perform structural
tests on a Series 1295 Fixed Window. The sample
tested successfully met the performance requirements
for a Class F-HC55. The test specimen description
and test data are reported below.
Test Specification
The test specimen was evaluated
in accordance with AAMA/NWWDA 101-93, Voluntary
Specification for Aluminum and Poly (Vinyl Chloride)
(PVC) Prime Windows and Glass Doors.

| Glazing |
The window
utilized 0.85'' thick sealed insulating
glass fabricated from two 0.185'' thick,
clear sheets of annealed glass and a desiccant-filled
metal spacer system. The insulating glass
was interior drop-in glazed using mastic
compound. On the interior side was a silicone
heal bead and an aluminum snap-in glazing
bead with a ¼'' diameter flexible bulb seal. |
| Frame Contruction

Frame members
were constructed of extruded aluminum that
employed a poured-in place urethane thermal
break with an average debridged width of
0.173''. All corners were coped, butted,
sealed and fastened with two screws per
corner. |
